Abstract
We abstractly characterize Lipschitz spaces in terms of having a latti ce-complete unit ball and a separating family df pure normal states. W e then formulate a notion of ''measurable metric space'' and character ize the corresponding Lipschitz spaces in terms of having a lattice co mplete unit ball and a separating family of normal states.
