Abstract
The nature and strength of the interactions in barium ferrite tapes wi th different degrees of easy axis texture have been studied by measure ment of remanence curves. Easy axis distribution measurements as a fun ction of the squareness have also been made and a correlation has been established between this data and the interactions. The implications of the results for the performance of the tapes as recording media are discussed.
