Abstract
An experimental analysis of the rotational remanence properties of var ious recording samples is presented. The locus of the saturation reman ence is an ellipse. For smaller rotating fields, the trajectory is a s piral whose limit cycle is an ellipse; however, depending on the initi al magnetization, the aspect ratio and the center of the ellipse for s mall fields are different from those for the saturating field case.
