Abstract
A non-linear model is derived to describe the statistics of the flying attitude of air bearing slider. A Monte-Carlo numerical simulation co mbined with the non-linear model is applied to study the statistics of the flying attitude of an air bearing slider with twelve parameters, The results from numerical simulation indicate that the non-linearity of the flying attitude on the process parameters affects the mean, var iance and the shape of the flying attitude distribution.
