Abstract
The concentration dependence of fluorescence quenching for model donor -acceptor pairs is discovered. An attempt is made to relate this pheno menon to the natural nonuniformity of the surface of an adsorbent and to lateral interactions of adsorbed molecules at increased concentrati ons.
