Pb. Greenberg et al., A PIGMENTED ADENOMA OF THE CILIARY EPITHELIUM EXAMINED BY MAGNETIC-RESONANCE-IMAGING, American journal of ophthalmology, 120(5), 1995, pp. 679-681
PURPOSE:We studied a case of a pigmented adenoma of the ciliary epithe
lium. METHODS: We used magnetic resonance imaging in the clinical diag
nosis of this tumor. RESULTS: The tumor was successfully treated by lo
cal excision, CONCLUSIONS: Magnetic resonance imaging is most useful i
n evaluating a ciliary body mass for local extension. It cannot clinic
ally distinguish a pigmented adenoma of the ciliary epithelium from a
uveal melanoma.
