Abstract
In this paper, a combined method of the simulated annealing technique with a direct search method, the complex strategy, is presented for th e shape optimization in the non-linear magnetic problems. The reasonab le range of operating parameters is given to ensure the convergence an d make the minimum of the objective function independent from the init ial trial points.
