Abstract
Measurements of magnetization and magnetic anisotropy have been carrie d out with polycrystalline ferrite films of micron-range thicknesses. An important feature of the technique used is its capability of determ ining magnetization without specific knowledge of sample volume, which can be difficult to measure accurately in situations of nonuniform th ickness. From these results, noncrystallinity and stress effects assoc iated with rapid deposition of nickel ferrite films are better underst ood.
