Abstract
This paper will propose a finite-element based Fourier projection meth od to analyze the magnetic field distribution for the transverse flux linear reluctance propulsion machine (TFLRPM). Since the machine movin g direction is perpendicular to its magnetic flux plane, it is unavoid able to solve the finite element problem with 3-D form. The proposed m ethod can project the 3-D magnetostatic Poisson's equation into three simplified Helmholtz's equations to solve the system magnetic field di stribution in an efficient way. Through this modeling, the force pulsa tion phenomena and the flip-flop effect revealed in the machine system can be investigated.
