COLLECTION OF PATHOGENIC VIRUSES - STATE- OF-THE-ART AND PROSPECTS

The organizational and methodological separateness in the collection o f pathogenic viruses impedes the development of universal approaches t o practical collection. The authors propose a universal research progr am for the creation of specialized National Museums of Pathogens as re ference and methodological center within the framework of the Russian State Collection of Microorganisms. Further improvement of methods for virus collection is desirable.
