Sn-Bi nanometer powders were produced by an electrohydrodynamic techni
que. The effects of processing variables on the size of Sn-Bi nanomete
r powders were studied. Experimental results indicate that with an inc
rease in high voltage and a decrease in diameter of the capillary nozz
le, the size of Sn-Bi nanometer powders decreases. In addition, the fe
ed pressure for delivering the molten alloy to the tip of the capillar
y nozzle is also an important factor in controlling the size of the na
nometer powders.
