Rv. Zagidulin et Ve. Shcherbinin, QUALITY AND INFORMATIVENESS OF CRITERIA FOR CLASSIFYING DISCONTINUITIES - AMOUNT OF INFORMATION ON THE PARAMETERS OF THE DEFECT, Russian journal of nondestructive testing, 30(12), 1994, pp. 932-942
Two methods are used to evaluate criteria employed for the classificat
ion of defects: camparison of probability criteria; determination of t
he amount of information contained in these criteria. The adequacy of
the information is checked against measurements of the magnetic field
of a defect, with the aim of ensuring the specified accuracy in the de
termination of the sought parameters of discontinuities in materials.
