Abstract
At the request of the automotive industry and some hose manufacturers we have attempted to develop a test method suitable for industrial use involving lab-scale problem simulation as a basis for remedial action . During the first phase of the project we confined ourselves to: prob lem identification and description; finding an explanation for the pre sence of the electrochemical mechanism in the cooling system; developi ng a test method.
