Abstract
In view of the issue raised recently by Mercouris and coworkers concer
ning difficulties, due to a singularity in the free-free dipole moment
, in calculations of above-threshold ionization in intense laser field
s, we examine this singularity showing that the difficulties are in re
ality an artefact.
