Abstract
Results of tests to demonstrate the very high differential-photometric stability of CCD light sensors are presented The measurements reporte d here demonstrate that in a controlled laboratory environment, a fron t-illuminated CCD can provide differential-photometric measurements wi th reproducible precision approaching one part in 10(5). Practical lim itations to the precision of differential-photometric measurements wit h CCDs and implications for spaceborne applications are discussed.
