Abstract
Cyclopenta[cd]fluoranthene (1, acefluoranthylene) is obtained by Flash Vacuum Thermolysis of 3-(1-chloroethenyl)fluor 1 anthene (4). The ele ctronic properties (cyclic voltammetry, UV/Vis and fluorescence) of 1 are markedly affected by cyclopenta-fusion.
