Abstract
Cross-sections and angular distributions of photoelectrons were comput ed for the K-shell photoionization of molecular nitrogen. Calculations with a delocalized and a localized hole in D-infinity h and C-infinit y v symmetry, respectively, were compared. The difference between the results obtained from the two treatments turned out to be quite small, in contradiction to previous claims in the literature.
