Abstract
The influence of the Landau-Pomeranchuk-Migdal (LPM) effect on the fea tures of extensive air showers (EAS) is studied. The development of ha dronic cascades is described in the quark-gluon string model. It is sh own that the LPM effect does not exert a significant influence on EAS features up to energies of 10(20) eV.
