PHOTOPRODUCTION OF B-C MESONS

The cross section for the process gamma gamma --> B-c(B-c)(b) over ba r c is calculated. It is shown numerically that the fragmentation mech anism of B-c production is not realized at any energies and that, near the threshold, the production of the pseudoscalar state is strongly s uppressed in relation to the production of the vector state. A method is used in which the direct calculation of the amplitudes of the corre sponding subprocesses by means of a FORTRAN program is followed by num erical Monte Carlo integration over the phase space.
