Abstract
The vortex phenomenon has found many applications in flow metering. Th e vortex shedding flowmeter is recommended for use with relatively cle an liquids, high pressure gases and vapours, but is not recommended fo r high viscosity liquids. In this paper we describe experiments concer ning the dependence of the linearity on the fluid viscosity.
