Gr. Tompkins et N. Galiara, SCREENING FOR BACTERIOCIN-LIKE ACTIVITY AMONG ORAL HAEMOPHILUS AND ACTINOBACILLUS ISOLATES, Microbial ecology in health and disease, 8(5), 1995, pp. 255-257
Twenty-five oral Haemophilus isolates and five strains of Actinobacill
us actinomycetemcomitans were screened against each other as both prod
ucers and indicators of bacteriocin-like activity. Despite examining a
total of 900 strain-to-strain interactions, under a variety of incuba
tion conditions, no isolates displayed any indication of bacteriocin-l
ike activity.
