M. Wakamatsu, THE G(A) PROBLEM IN THE SKYRME MODEL AND THE FERMION-BOSON NON-CORRESPONDENCE, Progress of theoretical physics. Supplement, (120), 1995, pp. 313-321
The recently discovered first order rotational correction to the nucle
on axial-vector coupling constant g(A) within the chiral quark soliton
model appears to provide us with an unexpectedly simple solution to t
he long-standing g(A) problem in the Skyrme model. A prominent feature
of this special type of 1/N-c correction is that the corresponding ef
fect is entirely missing in the Skyrme model. We try to clarify the un
derlying mathematical reason why such a crucial difference appears bet
ween the two effective theories of baryons.
