Abstract
The complex of the title compound, [CO2(CO)(6)(C9H21O3P)(2)].CH2Cl2, l ies about an inversion centre and displays trigonal bipyramidal coordi nation geometry about each Co atom, with axial phosphite ligands trans to the Co-Co bond. The Co-Co bond length of 2.6544(12) Angstrom in th is structure is shorter than Co-Co bond lengths reported for analogous phosphine complexes.
