Abstract
[Hg(C6H5)(CBrCl2)] exists as a dimer in the solid state through weak L ewis acid-base interactions between the the mercury centers and the ha logen atoms. However, these interactions are too weak to significantly perturb the C-Hg-C angles [178.3 (6) and 179.5 (6)degrees].
