Abstract
The La atom in the title compound, diaqua-1 s[2,3(eta(5))-cyclopentadi enyl]hexakis(mu-dimethyl phosphito)-1 kappa(3)O:2 kappa(3)P;1 kappa(3) O:3 kappa(3);3P-dicobaltlanthanum chloride, [Co2La(C2H6O3P)(6)(C5H5)(2 )(H2O)(2)]Cl, is eight coordinate The coordination polyhedron around t he La atom is nearly a square antiprism, consisting of eight O atoms c ontributed by two tripodal Go-complex ligands and two water molecules.
