Abstract
The reaction between 2-phenylthiobenzhydrazide and aldoses has been in vestigated; the products obtained in these reactions have the structur e of 2-polyhydroxyalkyl-Delta(4)-1,3,4-thiadiazolines as shown by spec troscopic evidence and by single crystal X-ray analysis.
