Abstract
A 35-year-old woman without hyperhidrosis pedum acquired a contact all ergy to chromate by leather shoes with an unusual high content of chro mium VI and soluble chromium. This contact allergy provoked the first eruption of a psoriasis pustulosa plantaris. Although the patient wore cotton socks as a preventive measure, a relapse occured. The change t o shoes made of chromium-free leather led to remission.
