The excretion of albumin with urine and the daily blood pressure profi
le have been examined in 14 patients with type-2-diabetes, 23 patients
with rheumatoid arthritis and 23 patients with balanced angina pector
is. In the groups examined an increased excretion of albumin, alpha(1)
-microglobulin and immunoglobulin G was observed with the highest leve
ls noted in diabetic patients. The daily rhythm of albumin excretion w
as weakened in patients with diabetes and angina pectoris, whereas in
patients with rheumatoid arthritis this rhythm remained unchanged. In
patients with diabetes and angina pectoris the daily blood pressure pr
ofile was weakened.
