Abstract
There have been reports of interactions between miconazole and vitamin K antagonists, oral hypoglycemic agents, and anticonvulsant agents, w ith adverse experiences due to potentiation of either the therapeutic or the toxic effects of the drug given concomitantly with miconazole, A case of rhabdomyolysis induced by concomitant administration of mico nazole and ciprofibrate is reported herein, The mechanism was probably displacement of ciprofibrate from plasma proteins by miconazole, whic h also has high affinity for plasma proteins.
