From the roots of Salvia heldrichiana, one new and five known diterpen es were isolated, together with a large amount of salvigenine and a ne w aromatic compound di(4,4'-hexyloxycarbonylphenyl) ether. The structu res of the new and the known compounds were established by spectral da ta.
