Abstract
It is now well established that ovine strains of Chlamydia psittaci ma y infect pregnant women, causing severe illness and abortion. A new ca se is reported, involving a 29 years old woman in the 2nd trimester of pregnancy. Although specific cultures were not carried out, serologic al, clinical and epidemiological features of the case suggest strongly the responsibility of C. psittaci.
