The Les Roches tephra has been defined at Gimeaux. It was emitted by a
trachyandesitic volcano (Puy de la Nugere?) at the end of Dryas II, a
round 12,000 BP. It has directly affected a late Madgalenian living si
te, Abri Durif at Enval, 30 km to the southeast of its source.
