Abstract
A regularization ambiguity in the chiral Schwinger model is characteri zed. Using an independent method, prescriptions are developed for appl ying the integration procedure of Roskies and Schaposnik, and its foll ow-up form, in the calculation of a Jacobian for a finite chiral trans formation of fermions in the same model. There are comments on the rel evant literature. The general Schwinger model is touched upon within t he same context.
