Abstract
We have developed a simplified relativistic configuration-interaction method to calculate the dielectronic recombination cross sections and rates. In this method, the infinite resonant doubly excited states can be treated conveniently in the frame of quantum defect theory. As a s tringent test, we calculated the dielectronic recombination cross sect ions for hydrogenlike helium. The results for the KLL and KLM resonanc es are in good agreement with the experimental measurement.
