In this note I present a few thoughts on over-emphasis of energy terms
in crop yield models, in light of recent discussions published in 199
4 in Agric. For. Meteorol., 68: 213-242. It is the right time to look
into and integrate the information available in the literature on the
crop yield models in a holistic manner, rather than individual compone
nts in isolation, and come forward with more pragmatic and practical a
pproach to be useful in real conditions.
