Abstract
The alpha-methyldeoxybenzoins angolensin, 2-O-methyl-angolensin and th e pterocarpan maackiain (demethylpterocarpin) have been isolated by bi oactivity-guided fractionation (brine shrimp test) from the bark of th e medicinal African plant, Pericopsis (Afrormosia) laxiflora.
