Abstract
The synthesis of various diastereoisomeric (+/-) H-4a,H-0a-trans,H-9,H -9a-cis- (VIII) and ,9,9a-hexahydro-9-phenyl-1H-indeno[1.2-b]pyrazines (IX) is described, using as key step for piperazine ring formation an alkoxyphosphonium salt. Compound IXa was prepared as a putative serot onin reuptake inhibitor.
