Es. Nimon et al., STUDY OF PASSIVATING FILMS ON LITHIUM ELECTRODES BY PHOTOELECTRON EMISSION METHOD, Russian journal of electrochemistry, 31(10), 1995, pp. 1050-1056
The spectral dependences of the photoeffect were studied under conditi
ons of pulsed illumination of the lithium electrode surface by visible
light and near-infrared radiation in solutions based on propylene car
bonate and thionyl chloride. The primary stage of the cathodic photoef
fect detected is the photoemission of electrons into passivating films
on the cathode surface. The photoelectron emission method was used to
obtain information on the composition and characteristics of the pass
ivating films.
