Abstract
This article presents two solutions to the problem of determining smal l flows of liquids in experiments with solid microporous membranes. Th is measurement is carried out either by means of an integrator system or a derivator system which, combined with the respective control circ uits, automatically control the performance of a flow measuring cell. These devices permit the determination of small flows (1-10 cm(3)/min with 0.1 cm(3)/min of sensitivity). They can also be applied to small pulsating flows such as those generated by a peristaltic pump. (C) 199 5 American Institute of Physics.
