Abstract
This paper contains the results of an experimental investigation of sp ectral (lambda = 0.65 mcm) emissivity of a Zr-1% Nb alloy in the neigh borhood of the melting temperature, derived by the subsecond pulsed me thod by means of two fast photoelectric pyrometers for simultaneous me asurement of the true and brightness temperatures. The solidus tempera ture is determined and the liquidus temperature of this alloy is asses sed.
