Yv. Lapin et al., A MULTIPARAMETER ALGEBRAIC MODEL OF STEADY TURBULENT-FLOW IN A ROUND PIPE WITH SAND ROUGHNESS, High temperature, 33(5), 1995, pp. 725-731
This paper deals with a two-layer multiparameter algebraic model of st
eady turbulent flow in a round pipe with sand roughness. The model is
based on generalization of the three-parameter model of flow in a pipe
with smooth walls [1]. The proposed model enables one to describe the
variation of the resistance coefficient in the entire investigated ra
nge of Reynolds numbers (Re > 10(6)) for the roughness parameter value
s R/h > 126. For smaller values of this parameter (R/h < 126), only tr
ansition (incomplete roughness) flows could be described.
