S. Panero et al., ON THE USE OF IONICALLY CONDUCTING MEMBRANES FOR THE FABRICATION OF LAMINATED POLYMER-BASED REDOX CAPACITORS, Journal of electroanalytical chemistry [1992], 396(1-2), 1995, pp. 385-389
A laminated solid-state redox supercapacitor based on an electronicall
y conducting p-doped poly(pyrrole) as the electrode material and an io
nically conducting membrane as the electrolyte material is described.
The preliminary results reported here suggest that the performance of
this new type of electric storage device is enhanced by maintaining a
residual charge in the electrodes during the full charge-discharge cyc
le and by selecting electrodes doped with large anions.
