Fj. Molina et Mc. Luciano, ELIMINATION OF A NON-ADAPTATIVE EATING BE HAVIOR PATTERN - A CASE-STUDY, Revista latinoamericana de psicología, 27(3), 1995, pp. 451-462
A pattern of non adaptative eating behavior is described and functiona
lly analyzed. The problem consisted in very high episodes of eating be
tween meals, with increasing body weight. An easy, functional and low
cost intervention procedure was implemented. It included a response co
st contingency to generate an appropriate motivational disposition. Re
sults were in the desired direction, and the change in daily eating pa
tterns was probably the result of adherence to instructions, and the d
ispositional motivation included in the behavior modification program.
