REENTRANT WETTING OF HE-3-HE-4 MIXTURES ON CS - A CLOSER ANALYSIS

The various effects determining quantitatively the reentrant wetting p hase diagram of helium mixtures on Cs are discussed. Particularly cruc ial is the temperature dependence of the helium surface tension, for w hich different interpretations exist in the literature. Recent experim ents by the Irvine group are compatible with the predicted existence o f a bound state at the helium/Cs interface, but more direct confirmati on is clearly needed.
