Abstract
Three feedstuffs, either ground or extruded were compared. Extrusion r educed the degradability of dry matter and nitrogen. There was also an increase in the proportion of C14:0 and C16:0 and a reduction in unsa turated fatty acids except for soya bean. After an 8-h incubation, the changes in fatty acid composition were found to be small.
