B. Lassalas et al., HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID-CHROMATOGRAPHIC D ETERMINATION OF PURINE AND PYRIMIDINE-BASES, Annales de zootechnie, 42(2), 1993, pp. 170-171
In order to estimate the flow of microbial proteins entering the small
intestine in ruminants, reversed phase high performance liquid chroma
tography (HPLC) was applied to separate purine and pyrimidine bases fo
r 12 min. This method was used to analyse duodenal digesta and microbi
al pellets isolated from the rumen contents.
