C. Martin et B. Michaletdoreau, INFLUENCE OF TIME AFTER FEEDING ON ENZYMA TIC-ACTIVITY IN DIFFERENT MICROBIAL-POPULATIONS FROM RUMEN DIGESTA, Annales de zootechnie, 42(2), 1993, pp. 181-182
The activities of polysaccharidases and glycosidases were monitored in
the liquid-associated bacterial (LAB) protozoa (LAP) and solid-associ
ated bacterial fractions (SAB) separated from bovine rumen content col
lected 1 h before and 3 h after feeding. Enzyme activities were most a
ctive in the SAB and remained constant in the LAP. Enzymes involved in
the degradation of soluble carbohydrates increased in the LAB 3 h pos
t-feed period and at the end of the post-prandial period (1 h before)
in the SAB.
