Abstract
Two cases of Takayasu's arteritis with severe renovascular hypertensio n are described. Both patients underwent successful percutaneous ballo on angioplasty with attenuation of the systemic hypertensive response. The role of angioplasty as an alternative to surgery for revasculariz ation of symptomatic ischemia in this disease is reviewed.
