Abstract
The production rates for positive and negative ions from the principle and minor constituents of air - N2, O2, CO2, H2O and Ar - due to elec tron-impact ionization and dissociative attachment are determined usin g a calculated electron distribution function resulting from excitatio n of air by high energy electrons.
