Samples of LaNi5H6 were synthesized in a high-pressure thermobalance,
several sample containers were used, differing in shape, lateral surfa
ce and thermal conductivity. Comparative studies were made using therm
al analysis. Experimental results show that a large lateral surface of
the sample holder improves the heat transfer. In the case of the othe
r holders, the temperature variations are important and experiments ca
nnot be carried under isothermal conditions.
